Abnormal growths in the stomach lining; common types are fundic-gland and hyperplastic polyps.

Why Do I Need Management?

  • Stop PPIs 2 weeks prior if safe.

What Happens During Management?

  • Biopsy/Polypectomy: Endoscopic removal of polyps using forceps or snare.

What Can I Expect Afterwards?

  • Recovery for 30–60 minutes
  • Resume diet per advice

Risks & Possible Complications

  • Bleeding (<1%)
  • Rare perforation (<0.1%)

Follow-Up

  • Fundic-gland polyps: repeat endoscopy in 3–5 years.
  • Hyperplastic polyps: follow-up in 12 months if removed.
